白猴茶種植於中國福建省武夷山海拔3,000至5,000英尺的高山地區。這款細緻的綠茶選用茶樹的頭兩片嫩葉與芽心精心採製。茶葉於新種植季節的前兩週內清晨採摘。這種講究的採摘技法使茶葉保留了絨毛白毫，這是嫩葉的標誌，並賦予茶葉細膩清新的甜味。採摘後，茶葉以輕柔蒸青再乾燥。此過程造就了這款色澤淡雅、幾乎像白茶般的綠茶，風味細緻。
