I brewed a cup right after the package arrived and the magnolia scent hit me before I even took a sip—delicate but unmistakable. It's smooth, not at all bitter, and the honeysuckle note lingers nicely after each sip. This new harvest is noticeably fresher than the last batch I tried.
The dry leaves smell like a spring garden, but the first steep is where the magnolia really comes alive—floral without being perfumey. I’ve been brewing it in a gaiwan and the third infusion is still sweet and creamy. Definitely my new afternoon ritual.
The tasting notes nailed it—honeysuckle and magnolia come through clearly in every sip, and the high mountain base keeps it smooth instead of perfumey. I’ve been brewing it gongfu style and getting three steeps of that same delicate sweetness, which feels like real quality for the price.
