Description: Decaffeinated black tea blends seamlessly with coconut, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. The chocolate and coconut plays perfectly off rich black tea. A creamy dessert tea that is excellent with milk, sugar, and honey. Also available in a caffeine version.

Our decaf teas are created using the CO2 decaffeination process. The advantage of this technique is that no chemical solvents are used to remove the caffeine. In this manner of decaffeination, naturally occurring CO2 is applied to the tea leaf in a circulation process which carefully uses high pressure and temperature to extract the caffeine. A very slight residue of caffeine will remain in the tea leaf, which is why we call them decaf teas rather than no caffeine teas. There will be a slight change in the character and flavor of the tea due to the decaffeination process, but the end result is an uncompromising cup of tea with no chemical overtones.

Steep Directions: steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 3-4 minutes

The cocoa and coconut balance is nice, and the decaf base doesn't taste flat like some others I've tried. That said, the white chocolate note is barely there for me, and the cup finishes a bit thin. It's a pleasant enough afternoon tea, just not the creamy mouthful the description promises.
