2025 Harvest

Tasting Notes:
honey, meadow flowers, oak, vegetal, muscatel grape

Description: The first harvest of Darjeeling 2025 has arrived. Introducing Seeyok Estate First Flush. Known as the Champagne of teas, First Flush Darjeelings are the first harvests of the year, capturing the delicate floral freshness and refined character of spring’s earliest leaves.

Darjeeling is a premium tea grown exclusively in Darjeeling, India, with just 87 estates officially recognized and protected by the Tea Board of India. Each harvest is unique and limited, making first flush teas like Seeyok Estate especially prized.

This tea was grown in the high mountains of India, plucked by skilled hands, crafted with traditional artisan techniques, and shipped to us directly from Darjeeling within weeks of harvest. We are honored to share it with you.

This organic first flush offers smooth notes of honey, meadow flowers, and oak, mingling with a fresh vegetal note and balanced by a crisp muscatel grape finish. It is an extraordinary choice for black tea lovers seeking brightness and for oolong drinkers who appreciate layered complexity.

First Flush Darjeelings are harvested during the early spring thaw when two leaves and a bud are plucked from the plant’s first growth. These young, tender leaves produce teas that are delicate, floral, fresh, and lightly astringent. Less oxidized and more greenish in color than typical black teas, they are best enjoyed straight without milk or sugar.

Often called the Champagne of teas, first flush Darjeelings are among the most prized and expensive teas in the world. Their limited production, labor-intensive harvest, and unique aromatic complexity make them a treasured choice for tea lovers.

About Seeyok Estate:
Founded in 1869 near the India-Nepal border, Seeyok Estate sits at3,600–5,900 feet in Darjeeling’s Mirik Valley. It was one of the first gardens in the region to adopt organic cultivation in the 1990s.

Our First Flush Collection:
Each year, we taste first flush teas from across Darjeeling to select only the most exceptional for our collection. This is our first offering from Seeyok Estate, chosen for its outstanding floral character and smooth complexity. If you enjoyed last year’s Victoria’s Peak and Monteviot teas, Seeyok is an excellent addition to your Darjeeling journey.

Brewed a pot right after the pouch arrived, and that muscatel grape note really comes through bright and clean with a hint of honey. The dry leaf has a fresh, vegetal smell I didn't expect from a first flush, and it steeps a pale, delicate cup that's surprisingly complex for the price. Easily the mo

Opened the pouch this morning and the dry leaf smells like a meadow in bloom, all honey and oak before it even hits water. After a proper 3-minute steep, that muscatel grape flavor comes through clean with a vegetal edge that makes it feel genuinely from the first flush. Slightly pricey, but this is

The muscatel note is exactly as described—bright and grapey, with a soft honeyed finish that lingers. Brewed it at 3 minutes and got a lovely meadow-flower aroma, though I wish the vegetal edge were a bit more pronounced. Still, this 2025 first flush is the freshest Darjeeling I’ve had in years, and
