يُزرع هذا الشاي في مزرعة سينجبولي، وهي مزرعة شاي تقع على ارتفاع 4000 قدم في وادي ميريك بدارجيلنغ. تأسست في عشرينيات القرن الماضي على يد مزارعي شاي بريطانيين، وهي الآن مملوكة لشركة شاي هندية. وقد بنوا سمعة ممتازة في إنتاج شاي عالي الجودة بأوراق كبيرة، عضوي وبتجارة عادلة.
