The bamboo whisk actually froths the matcha into a fine foam without clumping, which my old kitchen whisk never managed. The chashaku scoop is a nice touch too, giving me a more precise measure than a regular spoon.
The chawan has a nice weight in my hands and the glaze looks even better in person than in the photos. Whisking with the bamboo chasen gives a much smoother foam than the electric frother I used before.
The chasen has 80 tines and feels surprisingly sturdy, so whisking up a smooth bowl was way easier than my old plastic one. The ceramic chawan also holds heat beautifully, which makes the whole ritual feel more authentic. I've used it every morning since it arrived.
