    Tasting Notes: malty, rich, and bold

    Description:  The espresso of the tea world!  A full-bodied Assam tea from the Bukhial Estate in BOP-CTC style leaf (broken orange pekoe - crush, tear, curl). A hearty Assam with a round mouthfeel and peaty and malty notes. The gripping and course flavor notes are balanced with a bright briskness. This tea is an excellent choice for those that love strong robust black teas such as Irish Breakfast. 

    Ingredients: Assam black tea from the Bukhial Estate in India in BOP-CTC grade (broken orange pekoe - crush, tear, curl)

    Steep Directions: steep 1 sachet of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 3-5 minutes

    I buy the 100 count box about every other month now and the pyramid bags make a noticeably better cup than the flat ones I used to get — you can actually see the leaves unfurl in there. Also like that the bags are cornstarch biodegradable, so I don't feel bad going through two a day.

    The cornstarch bags are a nice touch since I feel less wasteful tossing them. The whole leaf gives a fuller flavor than the flat bags I used to get, but I do find one sachet a little weak for my 12 oz mug.
